GRAV – Mysterious New Worlds

GRAV Logo

GRAV is a sandbox experience where you explore a multitude of planets, hunt strange alien creatures, build and defend outposts, craft weapons and armor, and attempt to survive against other players in a hostile environment. You can do it in solo play or multiplayer. But remember, there’s always danger around you, so beware of it, try to fight it before you drop dead.

Wether it is a player or creature, a gun or melee, turret or not, it can always defeat you. You must become dominant, build your base and upgrade upon it. Creat new armour sets and give them enchants, such as ‘Fire’ or ‘Ice’. Explore new places that are unlike any other game you have or haven’t played or even seen before. GRAV is a game which needs you to have power, enough to stay alive. Will you fall to a Yeti? Will you die to a shotgun shot? It’s up to you, what will your choice be, adventuerer?

Overview

GRAV is a sanbox where you can explore, build, craft, hunt, attack with your tribe, and hopefully survive. It needs true focus on a populated server, however GRAV has servers that aren’t that popular, maybe because of the price tag, or just because people always say “don’t trust Early Access” or something along the lines of that, but GRAV along with some other games change that completely. The base building is absolutely insane! You can build a whole castle which would take a while to make, but would be awesome. It reminds me of Rust in this mechanic, in-depth, complicated in some parts, innovative and also fun.

GRAV

Sometimes things that are fun just don’t makes sense how they can eb fun, famring ages to make a virtual thing, then realizing you didn’t make a bubble shield, so all of you work is depleted. The next day you do the same, but you can’t ind a Bubble Shield in the building selection. You realize you need the bluperint for it in order to create it. Day after that you have the blueprint, place it down, but then you need a Generator which needs a Generator blueprint. Frustrating but well worth your time.

Graphics

I talk about Graphics in all/most of my reviews for a very good reason, to bring some light to the artpiece. This game definitely deserves the spotlight. GRAV was made in a very good game engine, using talented people. Who said all games have to be all dark and miserable? Well GRAV changed that by proving how an exotic atmosphere looks and feels better than a realistic one. If you want realism, go to a game simulator, if you want a more fantasy approach, GRAV is your friend. There’s bright colours everywhere, even some weapons are brightly coloured.

GRAV

The characters are bright, the voice acting is higher pitcher to make it sound a bit more friendly. It is a HD game from what I could see, the light shafts look beautiful as well. It’s almost perfected. Not such good graphics that my computer will die in a few minutes, but also not too shabby that I don’t know what anything is meant to be. Although the graphics do make me lag a little bit (around 45-50 fps on average), but these are some next-gen graphics right here. So it’s expected.

Great

An awesome game which is well worth the money, graphics, activities, self-generating maps, dungeons, crafting, building, exploring, cheating and a ton more. There is the occasional bug too, but it's in Early Access, so bugs are expected.
